A land of sun and mild climate. Located in the western part of Slovenia near the border with Italy, the Vipava Valley lies in a sunny and mild region where the alpine and Mediterranean worlds meet. To the south of this unique wine producing region are the slopes of the Karst, to the north the Trnovo plain, and to the east the mammoth Mount Nanos, creating an ideal microclimate that captures the northern Adriatic influences from the west which ensure the finest year-round growing conditions. The soils are of Flysch and marl, a combination which locals call “Soudan”, which is an ideal mix for producing grapes.  All these factors combined give our wines their character, complexity and quality.
